About Camila Bauer

Hello! I currently support a Department of Energy-funded study as Project Engineering lead, for the gasification of coal and biomass for green hydrogen and power generation in Nebraska. I\'m trained as a Natural Resources and Environmental Engineer, from the School of Ag & Bio Engineering at Purdue University. I was recruited from Bechtel through SHPE for an internship in 2018 and hired full-time thereafter. I have supported Project Engineering and Management roles in Carbon Capture feasibility studies and LNG FEED expansions, supported Process Safety for Corpus Christi LNG expansion, and partaken an ES & H role in the field for a solar farm in Texas. I have a strong interest in new technologies in power, specifically those involving decarbonization efforts such as carbon capture & storage, hydrogen, and sustainable aviation fuels. Outside of the Energy space, I have a strong interest in sustainable applications in Agriculture such as soil conservation, regeneration and organic practices. I was born and raised in Guatemala. My family\'s generation in coffee farming, has heavily drawn me to nature, and thus pursuing a career supporting the prevention and mitigation of ecological damage.
