As Channels EA, I’m responsible for working with business stakeholders and external partners/ consultancies to develop the strategic architecture capability, helping the business to realise business outcomes and adopting digital standards into its architectural landscape.This includes the long term development of the online, mobile applications, retail and customer service platforms, promoting and governing their use, as well as leading initiatives aimed at leveraging these technologies to open up new business opportunities.My responsibilities include- Responsible for defining, publishing and communicating architecture principles and business roadmaps for the channels platforms- Owning the business capabilities related to serving business and consumer customers in the retail estate, online, voice and mobile application, resellers channels. Influencing the shape and direction of the business capability model- Producing architecture artefacts such as; architecture contracts, Line of Business roadmaps and architecture principles- Ensuring the outcome of the business planning process aligns to the overall business outcome statements and the IT strategy- Communicating investment vs risk options and the different choices the business can make- Contributing to the business case for architectural change based on identifying opportunities to improve or simplify architecture in collaboration with other stakeholders- Working with business stakeholders to produce business outcome statements to shape and influence IT demand- Identifying opportunities for innovation across the enterprise and where it can be adopted- Driving innovation ideas into POCs for evaluation- securing stakeholder support and funding.
