ABOUT CAMERON COLE

It is fascinating what life lessons perspective teaches us. I’ve learned a great deal with the benefit of perspective that I use to shape the man, father, and professional I am today. Over time, perspective has changed the way I think about money, relationships, and success. Growing up, money was tight in my home but with sacrifices, primarily my mother’s, ends always seemed to meet. Circumstances changed dramatically at the end of 1987. My mother had been fighting cancer for six years and lost her battle in December of that year. Because of her employment, my father’s financial situation shifted from just making ends meet to requiring thoughtful future planning. Unfortunately for my father, poor planning and a series of mistakes led to me supporting him in the final years of his life. Following his death, I learned a lot about what my father had to overcome and that he wasn’t equipped to make the necessary decisions that would have benefited him well into the future. Perspective only teaches us the lessons after we need them; the hope is that we can apply those lessons in the future. Reflecting on perspective’s lessons, I’ve determined that clients:• should be respected,• are unique and not simply a transaction,• deserve empathy and compassion,• need help understanding the future implications of current decisions,• deserve an advisor who is trustworthy, competent, and• deserve honesty. In the final analysis, I do what I do because I believe those lessons to my core. I can’t help but think that had my father met an advisor who believed the same, he wouldn’t have, and I wouldn’t have been in the situations we were in during the final years of his life. I am fortunate to have the passion, education, and perspective to help my clients pursue their goals, plan for, and have a meaningful impact on future generations. My clients are devoted to their family and community. Like me, they find purpose in family bonds and community involvement. They want better for future generations but recognize that better isn’t necessarily a handout but a hand-up. I advise clients at the intersection where the blessing of wealth meets the complexities of their unique situation. Together, we discover what is important, identify the values that drive meaning, and determine the goals that are central to success. My role is to position financial resources to achieve success. Finally, I believe wealth management is a team sport, and so I collaborate with a coordinated group of specialists to deliver advice that is truly aligned with the client.
