My work bridges engineering, software, and field operations, with a focus on developing novel control systems and driving patentable innovation.Key Responsibilities & Focus Areas:Innovation Leadership: Spearhead the design of next-generation control systems and intelligent algorithms—including signal filtering and closed-loop automation—to optimize MPD equipment performance in the field.IP & Patent Management: Oversee ideation, documentation, and protection of intellectual property, contributing to a robust and defensible patent portfolio.Cross-Functional Development: Collaborate with both the Software and Operations teams to bring new control system designs to life—ensuring technical feasibility, seamless implementation, and alignment with field needs.Test Engineering: Architect and implement rigorous test procedures and computer-controlled test stands to validate equipment performance pre-deployment.Technical Communications: Manage the Technical Writing team to ensure comprehensive and clear documentation of systems, procedures, and innovations.Human-Centered Innovation: Drive solutions that reduce complexity and manual effort on-site, directly improving safety and usability for MPD personnel.
