Within my role as a colleague at Tesco, I currently work in dry grocery and checkout operation. Dry grocery includes stacking shelves andresponsibility includes closely following the \'Challenge 25\' policy and helping customers navigate the tills on their own. This role has furthered my cash handling skills and customer service skills where I communicate with numerous regular customers and engage in conversations.After over one year in my role, I trained on the Customer Service Desk selling tobacco products, lottery tickets and processing refunds. Due to the introduction of necessary restrictions on staff members being allowed to operate as Self-Service Attendants, myself and a few others were chosen to have the sole responsibility to operate the self-scan machines in attempt to maintain loss prevention.My efforts as a Store Colleague has been widely praised, receiving recognition from management for my hard work across the store in several departments.
