My work blends program development, day-to-day instruction, and community engagement to grow confident performers and a vibrant music presence on campus- Teach mixed-level concert band courses; design clear routines, scaffolded technique, and repertoire plans for inclusive, student-centered learning- Plan and conduct concerts; manage all event logistics, stage plots, and communications- Align curriculum and assessments with Michigan VPAA standards; track progress with consistent, transparent grading practices- Develop fundamentals and literacy (rhythm/tonal reading, intonation, ensemble balance) tailored to varied skill levels- Coordinate instrument inventory, repairs, vendor relationships and accurate records- Recruit and retain students through feeder-school outreach, counseling collaboration, and family communication- Engage community partners to expand access to instruments and enrichment opportunities- Lead positive, productive rehearsals with clear expectations and restorative classroom management
