Staff Engineer, Quality (Quality Lab Management)* Manage 23 quality technicians amongst 4 shifts, develop and enhance quality audits and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for lab technicians.* Lead weekly meetings with plant manager, department heads, and engineers to perform A3 problem-solving and project manage scrap reduction action items.* Continuous strive to prevent/reduce claims and warranty by communication with customers, other plants, and customer affairs to resolve problems reported.* Coordinate and responsible for manufacturing new product launch activities with advanced product quality planning (APQP) support.* Support new product launch activities and milestones with a focus on quality, cost, delivery, safety, and statistical data analysis.* Implement PPAP and operation certifications to verify the reliability and quality of product produced by a new process, tooling, or supplier.* Work with supplier quality team by submitting DMR and SCARs for any non-conforming raw material inspection.* Update the quality control plan and schedule meetings with engineering team to go over updates to the PFMEA (Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis).* Direct, support, and develop the quality and quality system initiatives including statistical process control (SPC), multivariable design of experiments (DOE), and ISO certification and development.* Oversee implementation of calibration systems (GAGEtrak) for inspection and process testing while working to improve workability of lab technicians.
