ABOUT CAMERON HASTINGS
Cameron is a real estate & digital infrastructure investor and advisor to developers, asset managers and individual investors as well as a management consultant working with businesses across industries on real estate portfolio strategy. Cameron began his career at Gensler, the largest architecture firm in the world, where he contributed to all architectural design phases for over 1.8 million square feet of office space across New York, Los Angeles and DC. His portfolio included notable projects for REITs like Vornado Realty Trust and SL Green Realty, as well as significant work for the General Services Administration. This foundation in architectural design and construction documentation provided valuable technical expertise for his later transition into real estate investment and development. As Managing Director of Portfolio Strategy at Newmark, Cameron devised investment strategies for over $1.2 billion of ground-up development and asset repositioning projects. He created portfolio strategies for over 5.5 million square feet across various property types and geographies, working with major clients including Dow Chemical, First Energy and Related Companies. At Landtheory, he advises private funds and accredited investors on real estate and digital infrastructure investments while providing active asset management. Notable achievements include managing a $130 million refinancing program across multiple multifamily properties and contributing to asset management for a portfolio of mid-rise multifamily assets. He also performed construction administration and worked with property management to create the lease up strategy for a $90 million dollar ground-up multifamily development while simultaneously managing multiple property dispositions and acquisitions for the same client. After graduating from Phillips Academy Andover, Cameron earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design while taking economics courses at Brown University. He later completed his Master of Science in Real Estate Development at Columbia University, enhancing his credentials with certificates in Alternative Investments from Harvard University and Hotel Investments from Cornell University. Cameron holds a FINRA Series 65 license and as well as receivership qualification from the New York State Bar Association. His experience spans the full spectrum of real estate investment, from architectural design through development and institutional investment strategy, providing him with a unique perspective on value creation and asset optimization.
