1. Vice President of Social Good

   As A Social Good Associate, I organize and coordinate volunteer opportunities connecting the company and employees to the community and sustainability goals. In the Spring of 2024, I led continued education on environmental issues and executed two volunteer opportunities for the company.The first of these events was an upcycling educational workshop at Berkley-Maynard Academy in Oakland, California. With assistance from their upcycling teacher, I brought a small group of employees and 25 students from Kindergarten to Eighth grade to learn about the problem with fast fashion and overconsumption. After our educational presentation, we worked directly with students, using donated clothing and fabric from a local organization, to create new pieces of clothing. The second of these events was an employee-led cleanup of the UC Berkeley Campus focusing on Strawberry Creek.Recently, I was promoted to Vice President of Social Good, tasked with the creation of our environmental initiative for the semester, as well as the acquisition of and communication with a donation partner. Throughout the semester, I will be in charge of managing the associates in each subcommittee, ensuring tasks are completed and facilitating professional development. Additionally, I will be in constant communication with board members from other departments, solidifying interdepartmental collaborations.I look forward to the opportunity to gain management skills and build on leadership skills with such a fantastic group of people.
