Research Staff @Free Appropriate Sustainability Technology Fast Research Group
London, ON, CA
As a senior member of the FAST research group, I contribute to an interdisciplinary team focused on advancing sustainable solar photovoltaic technology and open-source hardware solutions under the leadership of Professor Joshua Pearce. Our approach emphasizes appropriate technologies and leverages RepRap 3-D printing to innovate in distributed recycling and additive manufacturing. My focus is on developing distributed open-source solutions in electronics, biomedical, manufacturing, and recycling to empower under-resourced communities, promoting sustainability and accessibility through practical, low-cost technologies. My work aims to leverage and advance open, interoperable software tool-chains to enable a data-driven approach, resulting in robust computational engineering models that foster innovation and efficiency.
