Building successful business strategy plan to expand ongoing publications catalog.• Managing acquisition of new publications including proposal development and evaluation. • Executing publishing agreements through negotiation of contract terms with authors/vendors in consultation with legal.• Preparing project plans, production schedules, and set objectives for new and revised publications.• Managing editorial development and production of all CAP Press publications, including consulting with author(s), Publications Committee members, and internal staff to determine intent and form of final product; providing materials to authors, including editorial guidelines and content-related material (e.g, CAP Surveys materials); coordinating editorial group meetings; editing manuscript for content, style, and grammar; designing documents for print and/or Web publication; assessing and identifying appropriate resources; and supervising freelance personnel.• Leading the division accessibility team to ensure all products are ADA compliant and met the most recent web content accessibility guidelines (WCAG) 2.1.• Coordinating fulfillment processes with print vendors for CAP Press products.• Consulting and collaborating with marketing staff on tactical plans and promotion of individual products, including preparing author Q & As, podcasts, and managing website and social media promotions.• Maintaining the backlist, including evaluating products for currency, sales performance, and customer satisfaction to determine whether updated editions, replacement products, or new products are needed to meet the needs of CAP members and the laboratory community.• Assisting with the strategic and tactical planning effort alongside Finance staff for the Publications Department and Publications Program, including annual preparation and quarterly forecasting of budgets, projection of revenue and expenses, and development of reports and plans.
