In collaboration with the Career Services team and under the supervision and guidance of the Manager, the Lead Career Advisor plays a key role in elevating Career Service’s hybrid model of career development principles, supports, and best practices across the College and with industry stakeholders. As an experienced member of the advising team, the Lead Career Advisor supports student hiring, training, and development of career services’ student employees. Develops and builds partnerships with internal and external College stakeholders to support the career development of students and grads surrounding entrepreneurship and career management on behalf of the Career Services team. Plays a major role in supporting and guiding students in their career development and the college’s goal of student success and retention. Provides recommendations of operational effectiveness opportunities

ABOUT CALVIN BILL
I am Career Coach and Strategist that has experience in the Post-Secondary, Non-Profit, Hospitality, and Entrepreneurial sector. My wealth of experience includes: over 10 years in Management and Staff Development, in addition to over 4 years working in Career Development & Facilitation. I have recently started to create and develop Career and Leadership online courses in addition to doing voiceover work for business videos - apparently, I have a voice meant for recording! I am driven in life by the desire to help people see their full potential. I love the moment when someone I am working with realizes what they want – then we can get down to the real work of making it happen! Throughout my life, people have told me I have a great ear and innate ability to really know what people are trying to say (even if they aren’t sure yet). Career coaching and strategizing doesn\'t need to be stiff and full of structure. My approach is to create an environment where individuals can share their story and we can break down what seems impossible and make it achievable. My hope is to have fun but also find out what your next steps may be. I also want take those ideas and help make them tangible in the everyday world. I have taken my intuition and career experience and supported it with an educational background in Communications and Career & Work Counselling, as well as varied professional development in: Life Skills Coaching Certification, Constructivist Counselling Methods, and Personality Dimensions. Throughout our sessions (whether individually or in a group) I will help you to realize your potential, break down the steps for you to achieve your goals, and help hold you accountable.
