   Four years after college (following early stints with Bob Stroller and a very cool upstart robotic toy company) I took my first corporate job as a design engineer at Medtronic. My contribution and role progressed from entry-level R&D engineer to Program Manager to a Subject Matter Expert. Noteworthy accomplishments: • Defined metrics for otherwise subjective market differentiators such as \"Ease of Use\". Prioritized top user needs for novel heart valve platforms.• Performed virtual and statistical modeling of implants to increase patient eligibility. Optimized stress/strain performance of self-expanding valves to address fracture concerns. Fine-tuned implant radial force to reduce conduction disturbances• Identified and exploited intellectual property gaps in crowded patent landscapes.
