At DCAL, I support access arrangements for deaf staff and contribute to the centre’s communications and engagement work. I manage interpreter bookings, track support hours, and maintain internal systems to help ensure that communication support is consistent and reliable across meetings and events.When I joined, access coordination systems needed more structure. I developed clear tracking tools and streamlined internal workflows to reduce last-minute booking issues and make Access to Work reporting easier for everyone involved. This has improved the reliability of interpreting support and helped ensure smooth day-to-day access for deaf colleagues.Alongside this, I contribute to content and communication tasks – including maintaining website content, supporting the promotion of research outputs, and contributing to the delivery of events and engagement initiatives. My work spans access, digital content, and admin coordination, with a strong focus on practical delivery and deaf-led communication.
