About Cally Weber

I’m currently a Junior Finance student at the University of Rhode Island with a strong interest in business strategy and financial management. My experiences at the URI Academic Enhancement Center and Lila Delman Real Estate have allowed me to develop key skills in leadership, communication, and time management. As the Finance Chair of Sigma Kappa, I’ve enhanced my collaboration and budgeting skills while managing the organization\'s financial operations. Additionally, six years of experience as a server and barback have strengthened my multitasking, teamwork, and customer service skills in fast-paced environments.I’m eager to continue expanding my knowledge through internship opportunities and to apply my analytical and interpersonal skills in a professional business setting.

   As Vice President of Finance for Sigma Kappa, I manage all financial operations for a large and active chapter, including our annual budget, dues billing, expense tracking, and financial compliance. I work closely with our executive board to ensure chapter funds are used responsibly and support our goals, philanthropy events, and member programming.I oversee member accounts, create payment plans, communicate deadlines, and help members stay on track with their balances. I maintain accurate financial records, process reimbursements, and make sure we follow national and campus financial policies at all times.This role continues to strengthen my skills in budgeting, organization, financial planning, and communicating with large groups—skills I’m excited to continue building as I grow in the finance field.
