Working long hours contacting employers and talking to potential recruits to gain a better understanding of their individual requirements to join the Army Reserve or Regular Army- Skirmish different towns and local areas in uniform leafleting and raising the profile of the Army-Take part in large recruitment events; such as the Horse Guards Parade in London, Twickenham Rugby stadium and Southampton University open days- Provide a positive image of the Army and capture people’s attention- As a section 2IC I have various responsibilities ranging from the effective allocation of resources (be it ammunition, water, food, batteries etc.) to the rates of return fire when under contact. I am also responsible for my own fire team, meaning I have 3 individuals under my command. Likewise, when the section commander requests I am to take over and command a section of individuals - up to 8 men.
