A list of my roles & responsibilities as a Senior Structural Engineer are listed below- Structural analysis & design to AISC 360-10 using STAAD and MathCAD for topside brownfield modifications- Scopes include structural frames, lift beams, pipe supports, flow lines, J-tubes, deck extensions, blast design, impact protection frames, wind walls, structural integrity, existing member strengthening & replacement, rig interfaces, clamps, lifting & rigging, padeyes, mechanical packages, sea transportation- Full project cycle from FEED, Detailed Design, Procurement, Construction & Commissioning- Raising material & man hour estimates for scopes of work- Developing histograms and deliverable plans with the project planner- Resource management and delegating work to design resources- Checking & approval of drawings using tools such as cloudscan and PDMS- Management of change- Vendor management and technical bid evaluations- Offshore field engineer role during construction to guide the construction team and resolve EQ’s- Interdisciplinary & client liaison- Quality management including vendor documentation reviews and inspections- Identifying cost saving initiatives such as standardising details or simplifying engineering solutions- Ensuring offshore safety through onshore design reviews, developing mechanical handling strategies and conducting risk assessments.

ABOUT CALLUM WILLIAMS
Callum is a Chartered Structural Engineer with nine years\' experience specialising in topsides brownfield modifications in the Oil & Gas industry. He achieved a 1st Class MEng in Civil Engineering from the University of Glasgow in 2013 before moving to Aberdeen to begin his professional career. He achieved Chartered status with the Institution of Civil Engineers in Autumn 2018.His experience to date has been based primarily on E&C contracts providing a variety of topside structural modifications to existing platforms, from designing simple like for like replacements to being the structural focal point of a £60 million compression system upgrade. He has been involved on projects through the entire life cycle from conception, detailed design, procurement, construction and close out.
