ABOUT CALLUM MCGHEE

Hey there! My name is Callum, and I am a strong believer in chasing what drives you. Throughout my various co-op experiences, I have proven to be a goal-oriented, methodical, and cooperative team member. Ever since I was a kid growing up in Calgary, I would chase my interests. Which funny enough at the time was hockey (still is!), and drawing. I have continued to follow this idea of being a passion-driven individual into my professional development. Motivating myself to complete tasks that drive my work, and having a strong belief mindset in the direction your work is going are key factors in having a strong growth mindset and outlook on life in general. I believe that you never stop learning and finding new passions in all aspects of life, so I continue to push myself and others in my environment that will improve my professional career moving forward.I am a collaborative individual. Through my experiences in hockey, my co-op work terms, and the countless hours of completing projects in school with my fellow BCom students at the University of Victoria, I have understood the necessity of working in a team to accomplish your goals. The biggest lesson when working in a team is to not be afraid to ask for help. The idea of a business is for individuals to work together to complete a common goal, not conquer it all on your own! Once I accepted this at a young age, I was able to accomplish so much more in my personal and professional life. The best way to encourage cooperation is through introducing suggestions or ideas in your own group setting!
