ABOUT CALLUM G. DAVIDSON
Currently I am PhD student at the University of Strathclyde researching Nanomedicine within SIPBS under the supervision of both Rattray and Perrie Groups. I am investigating key oligo-LNP formulation parameters impacting nanomedicine manufacture, nanomedicine novel analytical method development and their in-vitro biological characteristics. I graduated in 2020 with a 2:1 Master of Chemistry degree in Forensic and Analytical Chemistry from the University of Strathclyde. My masters’ project was optimising the detection of C-Reactive Protein (CRP) linked to Sepsis utilising a SERRS diagnostic bionanosensor enclosed in a 3D-paper based microfluidic device. I was an Assay Development Scientist at AccuBio, previously known as Omega Diagnostics Alva, specialising in target induced self-assembly lateral flow diagnostics. After graduation I was a multi-disciplined Quality Control Scientist at Merck Group Livingston specialising in serology/biochemistry and cell culture for in-vitro diagnostics. I earned the opportunity to complete a 12 month industrial placement at Charles River Laboratories in the Discovery and Development Group of the Bioanalysis Department specialising in LC-MS/MS. Proven through my experience I have a strong variety and understanding of interdisciplinary product/process R&D.
