ABOUT CALIA CHRISTIE
Since beginning my career in documentary filmmaking and social advocacy while studying at Wesleyan University, I have developed several short films and media projects uplifting the stories and initiatives of organizations and individuals committed to social change. I use digital media to advocate for communities that have been historically marginalized and persecuted, and whose social experiences are often overlooked. I will continue to use digital media to support community initiatives and social advocacy organizations, with a commitment to ethical and justice-driven storytelling. I have honed skills in narrative development, video production, editing, fundraising, and marketing through documentary projects, educational and advocacy-focused workshops, and social media fundraising campaigns. I believe visual, digital media has the potential to change lives and develop empathy within our world.
