About Cali Nguyen
As a learning experience designer, I’ve spent the last few years creating professional learning programs that address key challenges in education. Through interdisciplinary collaborations, I’ve worked with subject matter experts to produce programs and resources that highlight insights and strategies from emerging research, and create spaces for individuals and their teams to share what they are seeing and learning in their day-to-day practice. With this background in learning experience design, professional development, and program evaluation, I am excited to take on new challenges and continue to design and develop programs that inspire continuous learning. I love helping people learn new skills and tools that make their work and lives easier!

Learning Experience Designer
Jun 2021 — Present
Together with subject matter experts, I developed a professional development curriculum for the Snap Academies (hosted by Snap Inc.) — nine-week educational programs for community college students aiming to break into the tech sector. Responsibilities - Leveraged instructional design and adult learning principles to improve engagement, relevance, and accessibility of curriculum content and documented best-practices for delivering live, online training sessions- Developed standardized program surveys and interview protocols to gather data and identify learning needs and knowledge gaps- Synthesized feedback and insights from students and staff to identify trends within and across iterations, make data-informed decisions, and address emerging learning needs. Highlights - Hearing firsthand from scholars how the professional development curriculum has positively impacted their career journey and professional perspectives.(We now have over 300 Snap Academy Alumni!)- Being able to return to the Snap Academies each summer to advise on curricular improvements, support long-term improvements, and nurture a community of motivated learners.
