I am an audit and assurance senior for Soukup, Bush & Associates, P.C. In my role, I work to provide legendary attest services to our clients. I expertise in financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations as well as consulting work across a variety of industries including construction, manufacturing, medical, real estate, ranching, and professional services. I am passionate about client and community service, and I love providing value to both of these groups as I work in the Fort Collins community. I am a member of the AICPA and COCPA and am a licensed CPA.Specific areas that I have experience with include implementation of ASC 842 for leases, complex financial statement eliminations for intercompany transactions, revenue recognition for construction clients or entities with variable consideration, inventory cost methodologies and components, tax provisions, and other high-risk attest areas.I am an alumni of Colorado State University as part of the COVID-impacted graduating classes of 2020 and 2021. In May of 2021, I graduated with my Masters of Accountancy with a specialization in Taxation. In May of 2020, I was the CSU College of Business Department of Accounting Outstanding Graduating Senior as I graduated Summa Cum Laude with my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting and Finance as well as a Spanish minor. I was extremely involved in student organizations during my time at CSU including serving as the President of the Gamma Tau Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi for over two years.

   In this role, I conduct attest procedures for audit and review engagements on for-profit businesses across a variety of industries such as construction, manufacturing, medical, real estate, ranching, and professional services to help our clients meet requirements for bank loans, fundraising, or public confidence.Specific duties I perform include advanced attest procedures on many of the firm’s new, large, and complex clients including financial statement eliminations for intercompany transactions, revenue recognition for construction clients or entities with variable consideration, inventory, leases, tax provisions, and other high-risk attest areas. To complete these tasks, I research GAAP guidance for new or complicated accounting treatments and provide support to other audit team members for those areas such as the firm’s implementation of ASC 842, revenue recognition complexity, inventory cost methodologies and components, or new industries the firm is serving. Facilitating communication between the audit engagement team and the client’s management and accounting teams as the primary point of contact to enhance client service is integral to my role. Separate from the attest procedures, I work as a consultant for our clients to help them identify improvements to existing business processes to provide them with improved information for financial reporting, find operational efficiencies, and meet performance goals.I assist with the training and development of staff members as a primary resource for technical, conceptual, and firm process questions and through leading some training sessions for the firm’s new attest staff. As part of this, I serve as a technology resource for the audit team and utilize the audit software to consolidate entity groups of over fifty entities and build workpaper templates for the team to increase efficiency.
