    I was selected by the February 2024 Submarine Force Talent Management Board to serve as a Fleet Lieutenant at Naval Reactors Headquarters for my Division Officer shore duty assignment. I serve in the Advanced Submarine Systems Section as part of the Virginia Class Group, providing technical oversight and fleet support for operating submarines. My responsibilities include:•Teaching Prospective Commanding Officer (PCO) classes on instrumentation and control subjects.•Conducting and grading PNEO (Prospective Nuclear Engineering Officer) interviews and written exams.•Reviewing and approving manual revisions to RPMs (Reactor Plant Manuals) and technical documentation.•Coordinating formal correspondence between prime contractors (Naval Nuclear Laboratory, BPMI) and shipyards to incorporate ShipAlts (Ship Alterations) and new technology.•Interfacing with NAVSEA and other external organizations on non-nuclear electrical systems for submarines.•Traveling to vendors and shipyards for technical reviews and program oversight.
