About Caleb Midgley
Currently I am a Product Director at DNV Green Data Products managing our Weather Data, Power Forecasting, and Solar Models product portfolios. I get to work with a dynamic group of professionals who are pushing the energy revolution forward with innovative tools & services. Before transitioning to DNV, I served as a Senior Product Manager at EarthDaily Analytics (previously Descartes Labs). There I led efforts to commercialize analytics for carbon markets and consumer supply chains using deep learning techniques on LIDAR and other remote sensing data sets. Due to the fantastic team I was a part of, we successfully launched two commercial offerings in less than two years.Previously, I was a Product Manager at DTN. Initially I was a Product Manager in the Agriculture & Weather Analytics team in the ClearAg division of Iteris. Within that team, I managed a portfolio of products centered around the use of advanced environmental data to solve real world agronomic problems. A particularly enjoyable product that I managed during that time was the Irrigation Advisor. It was an exciting initiative that supported critical initiatives such as water conservation, sustainability, and optimal utilization of water by crops. ClearAg was eventually sold by Iteris to DTN at which point I led the efforts of 3 different product teams supporting the modernization of environmental data delivery within the organization. Before joining DTN, I was the WeatherOps Product Manager at Weather Decision Technologies (WDT). In that position, I had the privilege of managing an exciting and emerging product portfolio. My duties involved an interesting combination of user story development, product backlog prioritization, market analysis, and business analytics tracking. Previous to my stint at WDT, I served as a member of the DTRA Technical Reachback Team for a period of roughly 7 years. During that time-frame, I progressed from an entry level Analyst position to a Senior Meteorologist post, followed by a 3 year stint as a Technical Liaison to the United States Strategic Command. My duties consisted of performing various types of technical analysis as well as integrating sophisticated modeling solutions into operational environments within the Department of Defense.I\'m always interested in connecting with other Project/Product Managers and gleaning best practices from those who are engaged in these exciting career fields. I also love to hear from former colleagues, classmates, and folks who love what they\'re doing. Feel free to connect!
