ABOUT CALEB GEBREAB
I am a first generation Ethiopian American and a neuroscience major at UCR aspiring to be a global physician. My passion lies in advancing healthcare systems, cultural identity, and serving underserved communities. Having spent over 10+ years in Ethiopia, I have gained firsthand experience as a medical assistant but as a co-founder of a nonprofit organization, Harasemay Global.Through my experiences as a co-founder of Harasemay Global and medical assistant at Amin General Hospital, I was taught to treat people like family, inspiring me to take a holistic, community center approach. Outside of academics, I am currently involved as secretary for East African Student Association (EASA) and actively engaged in leadership roles in BSU programs like BLAACK. My goal is to combine my experience as a philanthropist and physician dedicated to bridging healthcare disparities across borders while building inclusive systems globally.During my free time, I enjoy playing basketball, reading philosophy, and spending time outdoors with my pet maltipoo.
