ABOUT CALEB FIAKPUI

I am a professional civil engineer and a graduate of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology with first-class bachelor\'s degree honours in Civil Engineering. Currently, I am an employee at Training Research and Networking for Development (TREND), a civil engineering firm dedicated to finding lasting and sustainable engineering solutions to problems pertaining to Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH). I am an ambitious individual with a result-oriented mindset. In line with my ambitions, I am keen on applying my expertise as a Civil Engineer in developing interventions and strategies that would positively impact lives, improve livelihoods and preserve the natural environment.I have in-depth knowledge and experience in the WASH, environmental and structural sectors where I have had the opportunity to apply my skills in developing long-lasting strategies that best solve societal issues. Recent tasks I’m embarking on are geared towards sustainable sanitation, water supply, waste management/treatment and sewerage systems.I also possess great knowledge in the transport and geotechnical fields as I have routinely applied knowledge from these fields across diverse projects I have worked on. Coupled with my professional experience, research is another aspect where I thrive so well. I have successfully conducted five (5) research projects, of which some are yet to be published.To be at par with the ever-advancing technological world, I have developed strong skillsets in the use of computer aid softwares such as AutoCAD (Civil, Civil 3D, Architecture), ArcGIS and Microsoft Office tools. I also have knowledge in Python and C++ programming languages which I have diligently applied for the enhancement of my engineering practise.Ultimately, I am motivated by my fellow engineers across the globe who are devoted to the call of building a habitable and sustainable environment for the present generation and the ones yet to come.
