I believe that culture connects people to one another, creates a sense of belonging, and builds community. With two decades of government, nonprofit, and philanthropic experience focused on the cultural sector and community-responsive programming, my skills include strategy and policy development, communications and community engagement, and change management. I delight in building teams, systems and programs to support a more equitable, thriving, and sustainable community. Building trust through steady and poised leadership, I’m committed to fostering collaborative, emotionally-intelligent, high-impact, thriving teams. Planning is my love language.Analytical Skills | Arts Administration | Change Management | Community Engagement | Internal & External Communications | Interpersonal Skills | Nonprofit Management | Operations | Partnership Building | Philanthropy | Policy Development | Project Management | Program Development | Strategy Development | Team Organization | Strategy | Strategic Communications

Feb 2024 — Present · King County, WA, US
In December 2023, the King County Council unanimously passed Doors Open legislation to increase funding to the County’s arts, heritage, science, and historic preservation non-profit organizations through a 0.1 percent sales tax. 4Culture will distribute these funds, anticipated to be approximately $100 million per year, through competitive, peer-reviewed panel processes. As Project Director, I lead development and implementation of the Doors Open One-Time Capital and Operations funding programs, and work with 4Culture leadership to manage the overall implementation of Doors Open Programming in concert with and integrating into existing 4Culture programs and operations.
