About Cait Suttie
I have always been the fuzzy person in a techie world. At a college specializing in engineering, those of us in non-technical areas were called fuzzy majors. I took all of the same core science, math, and engineering classes just to get a degree in Legal Studies. Even in the university drama club, most of my companions were engineering majors. As a Public Affairs Officer in the U.S. Air Force, it was my job to translate highly technical information for consumption by the general public.(In some cases this was ACTUAL rocket science.) In my time working in financial services, I had to make mutual funds, bonds, and retirement legislation engaging and relevant to the average investor. Even in law school, I found myself helping authors to better convey complicated legal arguments as the Managing Editor of the Journal of Agricultural Law. With all of this, I have developed a particular knack for digesting highly technical and complicated information quickly in a way that allows me to distill the core message for communicating effectively to the needed audience. I have over 12 years of experience in strategic communications planning and execution.
