I manage the Risk Assessment Program for all of our sites, which includes development of the corporate program, training at all levels of the company, regular participation in the process, and consistent follow-up, including plant visits and observations. I am responsible for Safety Training in North America, including writing material and providing train-the-trainer opportunities, training the leadership team on high-level safety programs, and writing and maintaining the corporate safety training policy. I have also written and maintained many of our corporate safety programs, such as Personal Protective Equipment, Ergonomics, Hearing Conservation, Contractor Safety Management, and Walking-Working Surfaces. I travel to each site to review and audit their training programs and look for potential gaps and benchmark opportunities. I have spent time working with sites on their ISO 14001 programs, as well as our corporate procedures and documentation. I have launched and written the procedures for our company-wide Fire Risk Control program, which also includes multiple phases and audits. I developed the corporate on-boarding process for new Safety Leads and have worked to develop all new Safety Leaders within the company by providing training and on-site assistance whenever necessary.
