Work as the lead designer for the Madden NYC collection under Steve Madden.Build out collections by researching trends, colors, designs and new constructions. Design a new collection every season based on my research. Start with conceptual designs/construction design. I then use our best concept designs and CAD out 2-3collections based on the trends, colors and materials. After designing the collections I make all technical designs and techpacks for the entire collection. I design any necessary hardware and make sure all materials and color match backs are perfected! I work very closely with the factories throughout the whole sampling process and make all necessary comments and callouts. I then work with production through the entire production process until the products are 100% ready and perfected. I also work closely with the Walmart USA, Canada and Mexico teams to create slightly different collections and products for each country based on their specific needs in the market. Since joining the team Madden NYC has been booming in the USA and Canadian markets, selling out bags just a few weeks after they hit the floor. We have since been offered more opportunities and space within the stores and online! The brand is growing and it’s great to be a part of that growth!
