About Caitlyn Gund

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Economics at Davidson College in May 2021. Davidson College is ranked as a Top 20 National Liberal Arts College by US News & World Report and ranked as a Top 50 College by Forbes. The Economics degree at Davidson College is recognized as a STEM degree due to the rigor of the mathematics and data analytics requirements. I was also a Division I Student Athlete who learned the work ethic, time management, communication, and leadership skills that have translated into my professional career. I am passionate about developing a career that will allow me to add value by serving others. I graduated from a two year Portfolio Management and Capital Markets rotational program at Freddie Mac in Mclean, VA. I was recruited to join the Credit Risk Transfer (CRT) team in the Investments & Capital Markets Division after the rotational program. CRT structures mortgage credit risk into securities transferring credit risk exposure from U.S taxpayers to private capital. This team hedges the credit risk of Freddie Mac\'s guarantee portfolio through structured transactions in capital markets. CRT helps reduce the firm\'s required capital position. In my next step up the career ladder, I was asked to join the Business Enablement team within the Servicing department where I gained a deeper understanding of portfolio management, project management, and current business trends. After this experience, I was asked to join the Servicing Capital Markets team.
