ABOUT CAITLYN BECK
Caitlyn Beck is Pennsylvania native, with a love of robotics, the outdoors, and coffee. A University of Pittsburgh graduate, Caitlyn has a BA in Political Science and International Studies, with a concentration in Economics and Human Rights. She has focused professionally on conflict in South Sudan and continues to work focusing on humanitarian work and disaster response.In 2009, Caitlyn was the County Fair Queen, bringing a spotlight to the importance of urban agriculture and land preservation. After traveling to Argentina, South Africa and China to do a comparative analysis of state healthcare systems, Caitlyn received funding to write her undergraduate research in Eastern Europe on the post-communist transformation of the Czech welfare state. Caitlyn enjoys hiking, painting, and learning languages. In her spare time, Caitlyn can be found playing competitive pub-trivia and has aspirations of one day becoming a jeopardy champion.
