About Caitlin Prather
I am a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist and the Residency Program Director of the PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency at Inova Health System. I received my PharmD from Auburn University and I completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency also at Auburn University. I then completed a PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency with Inova Health System. I am board certified in Ambulatory Care and am accredited as an HIV Pharmacist by the American Academy of HIV Medicine. In my current role, I see patients independently through my collaborative practice agreement with our clinic physicians to manage gender affirming hormone therapy, PrEP, PEP, and several primary care diseases like diabetes, hypertension, weight management, and smoking cessation. I also provide education and trainings, create and refine practice workflows regarding medications, and participate in quality improvement projects.
