The Rhode Island Division of Statewide Planning prepares and maintains plans for the physical, economic, and social development of the state; encourages their implementation; and coordinates the actions of state, local and federal agencies and private individuals within the framework of the state\'s development goals and policies. My duties within this program have included the following:• Lead the Division\'s efforts to improve the State\'s resiliency to climate change.• Provide technical assistance to municipalities • Review and evaluate local comprehensive plans for consistency with State goals and policies.• Develop planning bulletins, presentations, and other guidance.• Monitor court decisions affecting land use or other planning issues• Collaborate with State agencies in the development of policy positions and legislation
