ABOUT CAITLIN MALOFF

I offer my business clients significant return on investment. In more than 5 years at Turning Point Brands, I have covered my own salary many, many times over in savings on legal fees and damages. I have saved millions of dollars by settling disputes for a fraction of the demand, especially product liability claims. Additionally, I recently reduced outside counsel fees by drafting, implementing, and enforcing billing guidelines that streamlined processes and required pre-approvals. In recognition of my valuable contributions, I was recently awarded the annual CEO award for a significant achievement of the year by overseeing the dismissal of a major lawsuit turned arbitration.How do I do it? With 5 years of intense litigation experience in private practice, I am capable of managing disputes hands-on to minimize outside counsel time. In judiciously managing outside counsel, I ensure that my company is getting the most cost-effective and high-quality representation available. I consistently drive resolutions that minimize company losses, settling disputes for a fraction of the exposure.My legal training and experience are only half of the equation. Knowledge of the law and legal processes will only get you so far in a settlement negotiation. What I also bring to the table is a keen intuition for reading others and an ability to convince them of my position. Motivated by a challenge, I excel at handling difficult personalities and thorny issues.More than a litigation manager, I additionally find ways to improve business processes to mitigate risk, improve efficiencies, and otherwise help my business partners. While I enjoyed my private practice experience, I find that being in-house is my best fit. I am at my best being part of a team where I can add significant value and watch my company succeed.
