About Caitlin Keating
Caitlin is the Co-Founder of Wise Fool, a production company that focuses on documentaries. Most recently, she produced the award-winning Netflix documentary ‘Take Care of Maya’ that had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 10th. During the four-year Netflix production, Caitlin went from finding the story behind ‘Take Care of Maya’, to diving into extensive reporting and research, to preparing the pitch materials, and leading the project from conception to sale. She managed a team of producers, and handled numerous responsibilities including, but not limited to, producing shoots, finding subjects to interview, conducting interviews, working hand in hand with legal, and fact-checking the entire film. She brings years of experience as a newspaper and magazine journalist. During her nearly 10-year career at People magazine, Caitlin covered human interest stories, social justice issues and the criminal justice system. From breaking news to in-depth sit-down interviews, Caitlin has an ability to convince people who are extremely hesitant to open up and talk. She has secured hundreds of exclusive interviews with everyone from criminals to victims and law enforcement. Caitlin has investigated topics including maternal mortality, wrongful convictions and cold cases. After studying journalism at Indiana University, she began her career reporting for The New York Times and Fortune magazine. She has appeared on NBC’s Today, ABC’s Good Morning America, Fox 5\'s Good Day New York, Investigation Discovery’s hit show People Magazine Investigates, and People Now to discuss her reporting. She also hosted People’s first episodic human interest show.
