ABOUT CAITLIN GRANT
I am a fourth-year Echols Scholar at the University of Virginia, double majoring in Psychology and Statistics, with a focus on clinical psychology, statistical research methods, and mental health interventions. As a research assistant at the PACT Lab, I contribute to studies on anxiety and loneliness, performing literature reviews, coding data, and conducting statistical analyses using SPSS and R. My work includes designing and presenting research studies, such as a project on gender and conformity, which earned recognition for its methodology and findings. In addition to my academic pursuits, I’ve gained practical experience in therapeutic settings through internships at the Virginia Institute of Autism and The Keswick School. These experiences have allowed me to work closely with individuals and groups on emotional regulation and social development, deepening my understanding of evidence-based clinical practices.I am passionate about advancing our understanding of mental health and applying research to improve interventions and treatment. I am eager to continue developing my skills in research, statistical methods, and clinical practice, and I’m actively seeking opportunities in research roles that focus on these areas. Let\'s connect if you share these interests!
