Caitlin Fritz is a dedicated professional with expertise in community organizing, education, and nonprofit management. With a deep commitment to driving social change, developing leaders, and advancing economic and racial justice, Caitlin brings over a decade of experience in grant writing, project management, strategic planning, team leadership, curriculum development, and facilitation.As the Managing Director of 215 People\'s Alliance (215PA) from 2020 to 2023, Caitlin provided strategic leadership, quadrupled staffing capacity, and raised over in funds. She spearheaded the People\'s Kitchen project, distributing 200+ daily meals during the COVID-19 pandemic, and designed new political education and leadership programming.Prior to her tenure at 215PA, Caitlin served as the Manager of K-16 Partnerships at PHENND (Philadelphia Higher Education Network for Neighborhood Development), fostering university and K-12 partnerships citywide. She actively supported community-driven leadership as part of the Community Schools Task Force of PCAPS (Philadelphia Coalition Advocating for Public Schools), advocating for education justice.Caitlin is an original member of the Philadelphia Participatory Research Collective, engaging in critical participatory action research to understand community organizing for education justice and coalition-building dynamics. Her work produces knowledge for community-driven efforts to address urban issues. She has published papers, presented at conferences, and conducted workshops, focusing on leadership programs grounded in equity and healing.Raised in Virginia, Caitlin pursued her undergraduate degree in Environmental Science at Saint Joseph’s University and obtained an M.A. in Community Development and Planning from Clark University. She discovered her passion for community gardens as organizing spaces while starting a garden with middle school youth during her time as a community organizer in graduate school.Outside of her professional pursuits, Caitlin enjoys cooking, gardening, supporting Philadelphia sports, hiking with her pitbull Luna, and indulging in her passion for painting, despite being colorblind.
