About Caitlin Dominski

Hey! I’m Caitlin, a designer living somewhere between communication, technology, and a touch of visual chaos. I’m currently a senior at Miami University studying Communication Design and Emerging Technology in Business and Design (ETBD).I love working across mediums, from branding and layout design, to photography, to video and motion graphics. My favorite projects are the ones that let me mix it all together to (somehow) end up with something striking and cohesive. I’m always looking for new ways to turn my curiosity and creativity into something meaningful!This past summer, I interned at Northwestern Mutual, where I collaborated on a large-scale design project to develop digital data-validation workflows for financial representatives. The experience gave me a stronger understanding of complex design systems and how technology can be used to better real-life experiences.I love using my creativity to create community, and one of my favorite ways to do that has been through Unity Lutheran Church’s Vacation Bible School each summer. Over the past few years, I’ve handled everything from branding and promotional signage to video production and creating motion graphics for this weeklong children’s event. This past summer, I was additionally able to write an entirely new curriculum and directed the event for 130+ kids. Seeing the joy that was created as everything came together was such a rewarding reminder of what creativity can do for a community!On campus, I serve as an Art Director for The Miami Student Magazine, leading a team of designers to bring stories to life through layout, photography, and visual storytelling. The role has strengthened my organizational skills and allowed me to grow as a leader, communicator, and problem-solver.I’m eager to keep expanding my skills after graduation, hopefully in an agency or creative studio setting where I can explore the intersection of branding, video, and technology. I thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments where ideas move quickly, and I love building off the energy and creativity of those around me. Always open to connecting with others who share that same spark (and maybe a little chaos) to what they do!
