Beyond Ubuntu, Canonical drives key open-source technologies such as MAAS, LXD, Juju, and Snapcraft, enabling enterprises to automate infrastructure, streamline operations, and adopt modern, cloud-native architectures.Projects:• Led the automation of CIS-based endpoint hardening for a major Brazilian internet and IT services provider, using Canonical’s remote management platform to remotely deploy and execute hardening scripts across employee devices—improving security posture, standardizing compliance, and streamlining large-scale endpoint governance.• Reconfigured Cisco switches in a private lab to enable EtherChannel, increasing bandwidth and fault tolerance between servers and network gear; implemented custom configurations to ensure PXE boot compatibility prior to bond formation, supporting reliable provisioning workflows.Achievements:• Published my first application to the Snap Store—sd-api-dashboard—a Python-based tool packaged as a Snap, leveraging API integrations, CSV ingestion, and automated data processing to streamline project tracking workflows.Responsibilities:• Onboard open-source projects into Canonical’s Container Build Service by analyzing full dependency trees and producing hardened, chiseled OCI images with a minimized attack surface and long-term (up to 12-year) support guarantees.• Develop automation using Bash scripts to streamline data ingestion and deployment workflows, improving operational efficiency across the team and reducing manual effort.

Hi,I’m a Telecommunications Engineer specializing in network infrastructure and Linux-based systems. Over the last 6 years, I’ve designed, built, and supported environments that prioritize security, performance across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud-native architectures.Across my roles at Canonical, AWS, and earlier research and engineering positions, I’ve focused on delivering secure, scalable, and well-structured infrastructure solutions. At Canonical, I support global customers building optimized Ubuntu-based environments, working on container build pipelines, hardened images, dependency analysis, and automation tooling. At AWS, I guided hundreds of customers in creating resilient network topologies, hybrid connectivity models, private routing architectures, and cost-efficient designs, while also contributing as a networking specialist for enterprise teams across the Americas. Earlier work in software development and distributed systems strengthened my foundations in networking protocols, systems design, and automation.In my career, I’ve led some projects: re-architecting VPC networks to eliminate unnecessary data-transfer costs, deploying hybrid AWS cloud environments with Direct Connect and BGP routing, and optimizing large EKS clusters. I’ve also automated CIS hardening workflows, updated switching configuration to improve bandwidth and fault tolerance, and developed client-side scripts. More recently, I’ve delivered hardened container images and built automation tooling to streamline container building workflows at scale.My core skill set spans cloud networking, hybrid connectivity, Linux systems, and infrastructure automation, with hands-on experience across AWS networking services, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), DNS architectures, VPNs, firewalls, and container security.
