Hi there, I’m Caio (Ky-Oh), originally from Brazil, and I’ve lived in the United States for over ten years. My academic and professional careers reflect a diverse professional journey with a strong emphasis on project management, research, and technical writing, particularly within the international development and climate and sustainability sectors.Over the past few years, I’ve worked with esteemed organizations such as Global Americans, The Brookings Institution, and the United Nations Development Programme, where I led projects, managed teams, and conducted in-depth research and analysis. My work has spanned strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and the creation of detailed reports. A significant part of my experience involves working on climate and environmental projects, especially in the context of policy and sustainable development. I’m fluent in English and Portuguese and have a professional understanding of Spanish, which has been beneficial in my various roles and collaborations.I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Colorado State University and a Master’s degree in International Development from the University of Denver. I have pursued additional education and certifications, including a Graduate Certificate in Environmental Policy & International Development from Harvard University and a Foundations of Project Management certificate from Google.

   Assist with delivery of the $13M Municipal Investment Fund, leading risk assessments, procurement compliance, reporting, and providing technical assistance for dozens of local and Tribal governments.• Facilitate international collaboration under the Race to Resilience Culture (RTRC) program, connecting U.S. and African cities to advance culture-based resilience planning.• Designed and led a national Sustainability Planning Cohort, supporting local governments in integrating equity, climate finance, and community engagement into actionable plans.• Provided direct technical support to over 45 local governments developing climate action plans, implementing sustainability projects, and developing climate-oriented initiatives.
