ABOUT CAIO DE OLIVEIRA
I am a lawyer and CFA charterholder with a career dedicated to strengthening the link between financial markets, regulation, and sustainable development. My work focuses on building policies and institutions that make markets more resilient, efficient, and aligned with long-term sustainability goals. At the OECD, I lead initiatives on sustainable finance and corporate governance, supporting member governments, regulators, and central banks in areas such as sustainable bonds, investor engagement, net-zero commitments, and state-owned enterprises. My role is about forging consensus among diverse stakeholders and turning complex challenges into actionable policy solutions. Earlier in my career, I held senior positions at Brazil’s Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) and Ministry of Economy, and I have taught Corporate Governance at Fundação Getulio Vargas. I hold a Master of Public Policy from Oxford University, where I was both a Chevening Scholar and Lemann Fellow, and a Law degree from the State University of Rio de Janeiro. A native Portuguese speaker, I am fluent in English and Spanish, and proficient in French.
