Hello, I am Cailan Adams. I am a passionate Spanish to English translator with 1 year of experience. I am also a Translation Project Manager with almost 1 year of experience.The bulk of my translation work has consisted of song lyrics; I\'ve translated over 400 songs from Latin American Spanish into US English. I also have experience with birth/marriage/death certificates, school transcripts, text messages for court, radiology reports, surveys, video transcriptions and translations, and more general content. I own my own 2024 Trados Studio license. My dream is to work in the entertainment field and translate/localize video games, board games, comics, shows and movies, and songs. I am learning Japanese to prepare for game localization! I am seeking more work to continue gaining experience and would treasure opportunities where I can be paired with an experienced colleague, editor, or mentor. On-the-job learning would be great for me at this point. I am preparing to break into subtitling, and am interested in gaining more editing experience as well. Editing has been even more fun and fulfilling than I first thought it would be. I\'d love to edit comics/visual novels and try non-native editing/monolingual editing for TV shows.I do not not use Gen-AI and am not open to MTPE assignments.
