Responsible for leading staff, volunteers, and vendors in implementing the communication efforts of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, Atlantic-Midwest Province, which includes Sisters as far north as Canada and as far west as Chicago, as well as those on the East Coast. • Supervise the development of content, including writing, editing and design of electronic and print publications, the website, and social media postings about the missions and social justice initiatives our Sisters are leading. • Facilitate the development of the province communications strategy and counsel leadership on communications issues and crises. • Ensure effective coordination of internal communications intended to support the members of the province. Develop materials and mechanisms that educate and engage current and new Sisters, Associates, and staff on the activities within the province and at SSND sponsored ministries. • Lead media outreach and oversee communication initiatives for the public to generate interest and engagement in SSND ministry, which is focused on education, particularly the education of girls, women and the poor.• Collaborate internally and externally across our Province, as well as with other Province offices and the international Congregational Communications office in Rome to ensure that the SSND public image is accurately and consistently reflected around the world.• Work in consultation with the Sisters on the provincial council in fostering understanding of the mission and spirit of the School Sisters of Notre Dame and generating support for the ministries of the province.
