Two years ago, I was trying to launch a product and didn’t have the money to do it.So I did what most people do — I opened a few personal credit cards and pieced together about $15k. I used that money to buy into a mentorship and cover what I needed at the time.It worked… but I had no clue what I was actually doing.I didn’t understand business credit.I didn’t know about 0% money.And I definitely didn’t understand how banks really think.About 10 months later, I joined the Gator community (Pace Morby’s group). That was the first time I was introduced to business credit and business funding. I paid someone to help me get funding through my LLC and picked up another ~$15k from banks like U.S. Bank and Amex.Again — it worked.But I still didn’t understand it.Fast forward to about six months ago.I needed funding to launch another product — the HitchN’Grill — and I didn’t want to keep guessing or making expensive mistakes. That’s when I came to Impruvu.What stood out to me was that it was done-with-you, not done-for-you. I was able to secure about $50k in funding, but more importantly, I finally learned how the process actually works.That changed everything for me.I realized that if you’re an entrepreneur and you don’t understand how to access capital, you’re always playing from behind. Money issues show up in every business — but they’re a lot easier to solve when you understand the system.I got curious. I kept learning. I kept asking questions.Eventually, that curiosity turned into me joining Impruvu as a funding advisor.I don’t know everything. I’m still learning every day.But I know a lot more than I did when I was guessing my way through.Now, I guide other business owners on how to get funding and avoid the same mistakes I made early on.
