Preparing for airtime - lead story, showcasing, multiplatform coverage, all the entertaining pieces- Research all local and national news that should be shared with the public each day- Produce 5PM & 6PM Shows during the weekdays- Leading Special Coverage Shows (Election Night, NFL Draft, 1 October, New Years Eve, Championship Parades)- Collaborate with reporters, anchors, news managers, assignment editors, and the digital team to determine the content and multiplatform needs- Write scripts for newscasters and help them prepare for clips and pictures being shown- Make the broadcast shine with graphics, video, research, and station branding- Assist on-location broadcasters in plans for live broadcasts such as determining location interview clips to be shown etc- Study demographics and marketing to determine the best target audience for the broadcast- Prep for a flawless show.
