ABOUT COURTNI A.
I’m a public health strategist with a deep commitment to equity, innovation, and systems-level transformation. For more than a decade, I’ve worked at the intersection of science, policy, and community, managing complex public health programs with national impact. From the CDC to the United Nations, I’ve helped shape the language of health equity and translated that language into action. As a Health Scientist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, I supported cross-agency initiatives that embed social determinants of health (SDOH) into emergency preparedness, public health innovation, and national policy development. I’ve supported scientific clearance operations for 100+ documents a year, authored peer-reviewed research cited in global policy, and advised leadership on how to integrate evidence-based practices into real-time decision-making. I don’t just write strategy-I operationalize it. Whether supporting initiatives during the COVID-19 response, co-authoring manuscripts and publications with other practitioners and scientists, or co-leading partnership frameworks across the HHS Data Council, I bring order to complexity. I thrive where health systems, policy frameworks, and communities converge-and I’m always asking how we can design better, more just solutions. Outside of work, I have served as Co-Chair of the Education & Outreach Subcommittee for the International Civil Society Working Group at the UN Permanent Forum on People of African Descent. I’ve led projects through the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers, facilitated cross-cultural collaborations, and worked in academic, nonprofit, and federal sectors. My creative interests-art, makeup, languages-keep me grounded and curious. I’m currently focused on health equity innovation, scientific communication, and data strategy in public health. Let’s connect if you\'re working on a project, a policy, or a movement that builds better systems for all of us.
