As a Business Process Lead within the finance team at TCS, I am currently engaged in a critical project focused on a US-based client\'s expansion into the Indian market. My primary responsibility is to act as a key financial and compliance liaison, guiding the client through the complexities of establishing a new branch in India. This involves providing expert assistance to ensure their financial processes and reporting structures are in full alignment with the local regulatory framework from day one.A core part of my role is ensuring meticulous compliance with Indian accounting and legal standards. I am responsible for guiding the client on Indian Accounting Standards (IND AS) to facilitate accurate and compliant financial reporting to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA). On an ongoing basis, I manage and oversee the client\'s adherence to the Companies Act, 2013, and handle all aspects of Direct and Indirect Tax compliance, ensuring a seamless and risk-free operational setup.My work is centered on building a robust and sustainable financial framework for the client\'s Indian operations. By proactively managing regulatory requirements and providing continuous advisory support, I enable the client to focus on their business growth while ensuring complete legal and financial integrity. This role leverages my expertise in Indian finance and taxation to provide strategic value in a dynamic, cross-border business environment.
