Hi, I am Farook, a Chartered Accountant (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India), with over 8+ years of post qualification experience, primarily in the finance controllership function and 3 years of Internship My current role as Senior Finance Analyst for Indian entities of Millennium Group ( a Hedge fund management group that pursues a global multi-strategy approach to investing, generally seeking to exploit market inefficiencies and engaging in financial arbitrage) covers, Corporate accounting, Book close, Direct and Indirect taxation and end to end Legal entity controllership for Indian entities of Millennium. I have spent the last eight years in the Financial Services Industry in mid management roles in corporate accounting, legal entity control, financial reporting and taxation divisions. In the initial phase of my career, I have joined the Financial Control Unit, a global Centre of Excellence of Standard Chartered, for Global Balance Sheet reviews ensuring appropriate ownership of all Balance sheet accounts across 50+ countries. I joined SCB from Prakash Kochar & Co. an Indian Chartered Accountants firm, where I was leading internal audit function for Indian corporates and firms as an article assistant. From academic stand point, I am a graduate from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). Besides Chartered Accountancy, I have pursued Company Secretary course from Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and Cost and Management Accountancy course from Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of India (ICMAI) Delighted to share that I am a rank holder in CA, CMA and CS. Besides I worked as a faculty for CA/CS/CMA across various subjects. My impeccable academic records and passion towards my career development are my strengths.
