From 1992 to 1997, Byron served as Assistant District Attorney for the City of New Orleans. During his tenure, he attained the position of Head of Narcotics and served as a member of the exclusive Violent Offender and Narcotics Strike Forces. He conducted a wide-range of complex and high profile criminal investigations and prosecutions in one of the busiest, highest-volume jurisdictions in the United States. A native of New Orleans, Byron was born in 1966. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas, in 1989, and was awarded his Juris Doctor by the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 1992. He is admitted to practice before the United State Courts of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and all state and federal courts in Louisiana.
